  • I have this, as a Christmas gift and my opinion of it is the same as yours. I have a heating bad I love more for heat but this is weighted so it works in situations where I want to heat up my shoulder, just wish it was more flexible.

    Zenkai76Zenkai76پیش 29 روز
  • In the commercial, they place it on the abdomen and then use the blower to show how weighted it is....ummm, we can see the actress on the bed using her right hand to hold it in place. I absolutely hate false advertising. What happened to the laws against that?!

  • James, if you have spine issues, review the “Posture Pump” and/or Quell pain relief. I love the Quell and although I am a skeptic, it really worked for me. Even it is is just a placebo effect, it reduces my pain.

  • Random fact from an LMT: The itching sensation you sometimes get when you use something like a massage gun is caused by your nerves becoming overstimulated. Massage guns are not meant to be used in one area for long periods for that very reason. However, everyone can tolerate it for different periods. Again, just a random fact. For that same $60, you could just get a massage. *Cracks her knuckles* I'm on it. lol. Personally, for my own aches, I just get a normal heating pad I can sleep on so it warms my back but will also turn off because of the safety feature after a few hours. That's just me though.

The smell does go away I used a light spray of fabric spray point it up in the air and spray and let it come down on it really really lightly...I couldn't see paying $60 for it thank goodness for my discount at work

  • Years ago I bought a massager like you said, almost two feet long handle, enormously large UFO shaped head with different textures like lines and bumps. The raw power is unmatched. Sucker can deaden just about any nerve...it's also fun to send your woman to work with rapid head tremors and a grin haha.

  • Any massage pad will be uncomfortable to lay on as the lump you feel in the centre is the motor that provided the massage function. There are massage pads that you CAN lay on, but they are not usually the kind that shapes to your body, but pads with a fixed shape that have the massage motor affixed to one end of the device where the power cable is and are intended for your back only.

  • I love mine. I use it for bone pain and the accompanying muscle pain. I lean on it in my recliner all the time, so I think it should be fine to use it that way, just don’t lay on it. And when I use it on my legs, the weight makes it feel like a hug. I’ve used mine almost daily for over a year now. Great product.

  • My mom and I are chronic pain patients and we got one of these to try a while back. My mom didn’t think it gets hot enough and I don’t think it is really useful anywhere that I need it because it would turn off at the slightest hint of pressure. If you are a chronic pain patient, stick with the tried and true brands.

  • I have a $13.00 heating pad that I've folded, laid upon for hours, and otherwise mangled and it still works after 3 years. It doesn't get blazing hot, and cycles on and off to prevent getting too hot, but in my experience it's how long I leave it on, not how hot it is, that really helps with injuries. It doesn't surprise me that you have neck problems with all the computer stuff you do James. 😉 Don't stop doing what you're doing though!

  • I totally understand you when you say how you can't handle too much vibration against your skin. I'm the same way! My dad rides a Harley and any time we go for a ride, if I lean against the back rest for even a minute or two the vibrations from the bike make my skin feel itchy and tingley. Like my skin is falling asleep! I have the same problem with hot tub jets. Any type of warm vibrations really irritate my skin within seconds after contact. I still go for rides with my dad and use hot tubs though. I just don't lean on the back rest or sit in front of the jets. I guess I just can't say no to cruisin' and tubbin'! 🤷‍♀️😄

Also, **note**: the directions say if you have diabetes, not to use it. I don't know why, but I remember reading that in my instructions.

  • I love heating pads because I'm an achy old lady who works hard. I do have to have ones I can lay on due to low back pain, and cannot lay on my stomach. No heating pad is really supposed to be laid on except heated mattress pads, so I just buy fairly cheap ones, knowing I'll have to replace them soon.
