  • All of these pans they create that are never supposed to stick, seem to begin losing their nonstick abilities after 6 months for the good ones, even sooner on the as seen on TV ones I have tried out. Either I am using them wrong, or they just don’t last. I have been let down by all the neverstick pans I’ve tried. Ninja makes excellent blenders and food choppers though.

  • "NO OIL OR BUTTER!" Since the first info-mercials hawking non-stick pans, I have maintained that they *cheat* the results by spraying Armor-All onto the pans before filming. Typically, they don't show the food being eaten - so no issue there - and if you've ever tried to put an adhesive onto a surface that was treated with Armor-All you know how non-stick it is.

  • you should test hot pan into cold water to test if the bottom warps. I also think you should test cooking something like chicken that's been marinated because that stuff sticks to the bottom of pans, if there's anything sugary in the marinated it burns and sticks to the pan. Also i think it's tough to get a good read on a brand new pan because the real issue with coatings if how they hold up after many uses. New pans all seem to work great. It's after they've been used and washed many times, the coating has been heated, cooled, heated, cooled, etc and then has chicken cooked on it and gets crusty mess stuck to the bottom. how it does then seems a better test than new. Because 12 dollar nonstick works fine brand new,

  • 6:13 "the same temperature". That is inaccurate. They are probably in the same fire settings, but: 1. Different stove ranges have different fire power 2. Different pans have different temperature curve. It should really be verified by a remote thermometer.

  • In terms of 'release' for flipping or shake testing it's not a fair test on proteins. They'll naturally release once the proteins have finished cooking via the maillard reaction. You can do this same test with a stainless steel pan and some oil and it will do the same thing once a good crust has formed.

  • I love your channel and watching your reviews. They've helped me made some informed decisions on certain purchases. As the egg stuck in the Ninja pan, I'd like to suggest that you use an infrared surface temp thermometer to make sure both pan surfaces are at equal cooking temps. When you put the egg into the pans, my thoughts went straight to question the difference in the different weights of the pans, and allowing the heavier pan extra time to come to an equal temp. If you look at "Your Average Joe" channel and his review of the ninja pans, you'll see where the infrared thermometer is very useful when comparing apples to apples, or pans to pans. In any event, another great review! 😊

I always use oil or butter in my pans for eggs or pancakes. Not with this pan. My grandson loves pancakes and I make them in my pan. Perfect all the time. No oil, no butter. The only thing I don’t like are the lids for the pans, they have already broken seal and liquid gets between the glass and the rim. Other than that, I love all their products. • Ninja not for me. None of these "non stick" pans are worth the money. Customers shouldn't have to buy new pans every 5 years or so. Buy cast iron or heavy stainless steel and be done with it. The frying pan makers won't go broke due to lack of sales; cooks enjoy buying new pans and looking for a better product but for everyday people who want a reliable product, it's cast iron or stainless steel. They are proven to win the everyday cooking race.

    gentillydannygentillydannyپیش ماه
  • since I know a bit about pans ill shine some light. since ur using a flame to cook, the heaviness of the pan does not matter as much as if u were to cook on an electric element oven. those turn off and on to try to maintain heat at a level. so increased thermal mass of the heavier pan would make a lot more differences to cooking evening, especially at lower temps on foods u don't need to cook long, like a sunny side up egg. this is also why it took longer to heat the pan, which means it will retain that heat longer as well so be more balanced with electric element ovens. almost all the nonstick coated pans have a short life, this is why I recommend not spending much of them. but have a good quality one you pull out to do real cooking is nice, but most defiantly have a cheaper "beat" nonstick pan to cook like box and bag meals in so your more expensive quality pan lasts longer

  • I bought this pan after watching this review. I love it! It definitely works best if you let it warm up first. I made 8 pancakes and 4 omelets back to back to really test it and it worked beautifully. The only egg I had that "stuck" were the bits I dripped down the side and they brushed off easily once the pan cooled enough to touch.

  • Looking for pans... I am wondering: On your tests, do you bring the pan to full heat before you add the marshmallows or cheese? When a pan is heating up, there are tiny pores that contract as they get hot. This is often what is causing food to stick. Now, if you have non-stick pans and have used metal items to cook and the abrasive side of the sponge like i did, nothing is going to stop the food from sticking. I have learned a lot about the care of pans from your videos.
